Mard actor Helena Luke, who divorced Mithun Chakraborty after 4 months, passes away
Actress Helena Luke, who was the first wife of Mithun Chakraborty, is reported to have died in the USA on Sunday. Dancer and actress Kalpana Iyer has tweeted news about this. She was known for her character in the 1985 movie Mard, where Amitabh Bachchan starred. She was married to Mithun for only four months before her marriage ended.
On the day of her death, Helena posted for the last time on Facebook at 9:20 AM, a confused post: “Feeling weird. Mixed emotions and no clue why, discombobulated.”
An earlier interview by Helena disclosed that her marriage with Mithun was short-lived and a “daze.” She told Stardust Magazine, “I only wish it hadn’t happened.”. He was the one who brainwashed me into believing he was the man for me, and unfortunately, he succeeded. Despite all the speculation about a possible reconciliation, Helena firmly stated, “I’ll never go back to him even if he is the richest guy around. I haven’t even asked for alimony; it was a nightmare, and it’s over.”
Mithun had told Helena that her father was going to make her the “9th wonder of the world, but sometimes she found him abandoning her. She believed “When he said he loves me, I really believe[d] him, later he only loved himself, for he was very childish while I was younger also at times felt much elder in age, he would turn very possessive toward her and even accused of looking at her ex-boyfriend, Javed.”. Howsoever hard I tried to convince him of this, I could not succeed in changing his deep-seated belief. It appeared that he was not free of his guilt complex, amusing around behind my back.”
News reports say Helena had, in her last post, stated that she wasn’t feeling well and her failure to seek timely medical treatment resulted in her tragic death.
