Meanwhile, Rishabh Pant is gearing up for India’s upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy series against Australia, set to begin on November 22 in Perth. The star wicketkeeper-batter has been in outstanding form, climbing the ICC Test rankings following a strong showing in the recently concluded Test series against New Zealand.
Pant was the top run-scorer in the three-match series, accumulating 261 runs at an average of 43.50, with a strike rate of 89.38 and three half-centuries. His exceptional performances helped him rise five places in the ICC Test batting rankings, where he now sits at No. 6 with 750 rating points.
Pant’s remarkable run included a near-century in the first Test in Bengaluru, where he scored 99, followed by scores of 60 and 64 in the final Test in Mumbai.
