Banke Bihari Mandir

Jagran correspondent, Mathura.  Administrative preparations have intensified for the Mangala Aarti to be held at 2 am in Thakur Banke bihari temple on Shri Krishna Janmashtami. The administration will do live streaming of the Aarti. After getting the direction of Allahabad High Court, deliberations have started on this. Barricading will also be done inside the temple, so that devotees cannot stay inside.

There was a stampede in 2022

Only six hundred people will participate in the Mangala Aarti. In the year 2022, two devotees died and a dozen were injured due to a stampede during the Mangala Aarti at Thakur Bankebihari Temple. After this, crowd is not being allowed in Mangala Aarti. This time Shri Krishna Janmashtami is on 26 August at Shri Krishna Janmasthan, while it is on 27 August at Thakur Bankebihari Temple. Mangala Aarti will be held at 2 o’clock on the night of 27 August. Earlier, when the administration was asked about the arrangements by the Allahabad High Court, the administration had filed its affidavit and told about the arrangements.

The screen will be installed in two locations

There will be live streaming of Thakur Bankebihari’s darshan. Screens will be installed at places where devotees gather in large numbers. Barricading will be done inside the temple for entry and exit. Mangala Aarti will be held between 1:45 and 2:00. Only 600 devotees will be allowed entry. The doors of the temple will be closed during Mangala Aarti. Devotees will be stopped in an area near the temple. A list of sevayats staying during Mangala Aarti will also be taken.
