Upcoming iPhone 17 Series: Exciting Leaks and Upgrades

While the world eagerly awaits the next end-of-year launches by Apple, notably the iPhone 17 series, early leaks have revealed some exciting changes to Apple’s 2025 lineup. Recently, one leak that had its source sited at analysts showed how these new improvements would especially see their way in both the iPhone 17 Pro models and, at the very least, the new iPhone 17 Air.

As stated by Jeff Pu, who is Haitong International Tech Research analyst, the major camera technology upgrade will occur for the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max. The devices will have a 48-megapixel telephoto camera while the front camera is to remain the same as in the previous generation with 12 megapixels.

Except for the camera upgrade, performance upgrades will also be expected. Allegedly, iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max would come with 12GB of RAM. This version is really much much higher than what the current Pro is offering-the former comes with 8GB. Possibly, the increase in the RAM would improve the multitasking of the device as well as general operation, especially for AI-driven features. Apple will also shrink the Dynamic Island on the iPhone 17 Pro Max using new “metalens” technology to build smaller Face ID components.

Screen size is not expected to be different. The Pro will carry a 6.3 inch, and the Pro Max will maintain a 6.9-inch screen size. Apple is expected to power A19 Pro chip inside new models-the chip is built using TSMC’s advanced 3nm process. That can conceivably bring faster speeds and improved battery efficiency.

One of the most interesting new additions to next year’s lineup will likely be the iPhone 17 Air, which is said to take the place of last year’s iPhone Plus. This model is sometimes referred to as the iPhone 17 Slim. It is expected to feature a 6.6-inch display, 8GB of RAM, and a Dynamic Island. It is also expected to feature an A19 Bionic chip, just like the Pro variants, and possibly Apple’s first in-house 5G modem.

Camera specifications may reportedly be spied out in something like this: iPhone 17 Air specs leak and show significant improvement to the non-Pro lineup, as there will be a 48-megapixel rear camera and a 24-megapixel front camera. The Air model may come with the new frame made of aluminum, departing from the looks that iPhones had till date.

These are certainly intriguing updates on the horizon, and the iPhone 17 series promises to be an incredible new entry in the Apple lineup. It should bring improvements both for photography enthusiasts as well as common consumers.
