Thalapathy Vijay enters politics

Actor Thalapathy Vijay officially unveiled the flag of his political party Tamizhaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) at the party headquarters in Panayur, Chennai. Vijay hoisted the party flag in front of his party officials. The unveiling of the flag is considered to be the first major step in Vijay’s political journey as he focuses on the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.

ANI, Tamil Nadu. Tamil actor and Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) chief Thalapathy Vijay unveiled the party flag at the party office in Chennai. During this, Vijay said, ‘I know you all are waiting for our first state conference. Preparations are going on for this and very soon I will announce it. Before that, I have unveiled the flag of our party today. I feel very proud. We will work together for the development of Tamil Nadu.’

The party will hold a huge rally at the end of September

TVK has planned a rally at Vikravandi in Villupuram district at the end of September. This rally will mark the formal launch of TVK.

Will be fully active in politics by February 2025 

Vijay had announced the formation of Tamizhaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) in February this year. The actor plans to fully enter politics after completing his last film project ‘Thalapathy 69’, which is scheduled to be completed by February 2025. He has pledged to build the grassroots infrastructure of TVK in the next two years and has made it clear that he will not support any political party in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
