The Adani Group has elaborate plans to make investments worth INR 5,500 crore in the cement unit of Bihar. This project is going to be one of the largest investments being made in the cement sector of Bihar. It will add to the state’s growing infrastructure. Adani’s Investment In Bihar:
The Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has recently laid the foundation for an INR 1,600 crore cement grinding unit of Ambuja Concrete North Private Limited. The company is a subsidiary of the Adani Group’s Ambuja Cement. The project foundation was laid in the Nawada district. Adani Group has already decided to invest an additional INR 5,500 crore across the various sectors in Bihar. This will bring about employment opportunities for 40,000 people. The overall living conditions of the people of Bihar will also improve mainly because of the state’s growing economy. The Adani Group will also be able to bring a halt to the ongoing rumours of the Adani scandal.
The Inauguration Ceremony:
The foundation ceremony of the cement grinding unit took place on 3rd August 2024. Some of the notable names who were present at the prestigious occasion include Nitish Mishra, the Bihar Industries Minister, Prem Kumar, the State Environment, Forest, and Climate Change Minister, and Pranav Adani, the Managing Director of Adani Enterprises. Soon after the event, Pranav Adani published a post in which he mentioned that he was privileged to be a part of the inauguration ceremony of the cement grinding industry.
The conglomerate is extremely grateful for the support received from the Bihar government for helping the Adani Group make strategic investments in the state. The group also plans to heartily contribute to the state’s development plans and bring about economic growth in the area. The CM also inaugurated tourist facilities at Kakolat waterfall in Nawada district during the event. The Bihar Environment, Forest, and Climate Change Minister, Prem Kumar said that the tourist facilities will not only bring more travellers but lead to improved employment opportunities for the local people. This will turn out to be a profitable venture for the state.
The Cement Grinding Unit:
The cement grinding unit will have a capacity of 6 MTPA. It will be worth an investment of INR 1,600 crore and will be implemented in three phases. The first phase will have a capacity of 2.4 MTPA and an investment of INR 1,100 crore. It is targeted to be completed by December 2025. The project will create 250 direct and 1,000 indirect jobs in the region. The project will be the largest investment in the cement industry of Bihar. It will attend to the industrial needs of Bihar.
Other Plans For Investment:
The Adani Group has elaborate plans to make investments in different sectors including cement manufacturing in Muzaffarpur, logistics in Patna, and other agro-related projects in Kishanganj, Araria, and Begusarai. This will lead generate a total of 40,000 employments. With these investments, Bihar is expected to experience enormous economic growth in the upcoming years. It has also emerged as an extraordinary destination for investment because of its availability. The state is also yet to be explored to its full potential which is why the Adani Group is so keen on exploring the various sectors of Bihar.
How Will The Investment Help The Adani Group?
