Box Office: From ‘Stree 2’ to ‘Tanglan’, 6 films roared at the box office on holiday, the opening was great

On 15th August, i.e. on the occasion of Independence Day, not just one or two but more than half a dozen movies were released Stree 2.

Stree 2

The film Stree 2, directed by Amar Kaushik, was awaited for 6 years. This film is the sequel of Stree released in 2018. The film starring Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkumar Rao, Abhishek Banerjee, Aparshakti Khurana and Pankaj Tripathi has earned a lot at the box office. According to the early trade of Sacred Heart, the film’s business was Rs 46 crore. The shows of the movie started from the evening of 14 August, when the film did a business of 8.35 crores. The film has hit a half century on the very first day.

Thangalaan

Chiyan Vikram’s action-fantasy drama Tangalan is one of the much awaited films. Directed by Pa. Ranjith, the film stars Malavika Mohanan in the lead role. The film has done an estimated business of 12.6 crores on the first day, which is a good collection as per the opening day.

Double iSmart

The audience was also waiting for a long time for Ram Pothineni starrer action-sci-fi thriller Double Eyesmart. Sanjay Dutt has played the role of villain in this film. The movie has made a great collection on the first day. The estimated collection on the opening day was 7.5 crores.

Vedas

Nikhil Advani directed action thriller Veda stars John Abraham, Sharvari Wagh, Tamannaah Bhatia and Abhishek Banerjee in lead roles. The film based on social issues has attracted the audience. The movie has collected 6.52 crores on the first day.
