Home Minister Maharashtra Anil Deshmukh Injured in Stone Attack

Nagpur: Former Home Minister Maharashtra Anil Deshmukh sustained serious injuries after stones were hurled at his car in Nagpur district on Tuesday evening. The shocking incident occurred near Belphata on Katol Jalalkheda Road while the NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar) leader was returning from a campaign meeting in Narkhed village.

The attack left Deshmukh, seated in the front passenger seat, with a head injury. Disturbing visuals from the scene showed blood dripping from his head and staining his white kurta. He was rushed to Alexis Hospital in Nagpur for treatment.

The vehicle’s windshield was shattered, and glass fragments were strewn across the interior. Photos and videos circulating online reveal the extent of the damage to the car, adding to the gravity of the attack.

Tensions Rise Ahead of Elections
